Our community comprises a core group of Members and Land Stewards who are highly involved, have invested a great deal either financially, energetically or in-kind, and play a substantial role in seeing the vision through to completion. In addition to the following core Members, we are honoured to host a number of medicine men and women from various lineages for private events.

Founding MemberFellow learner and co-creator, Melanie founded the Rosseau Sanctuary, first as an extension of the Inner Arts Collective (2017) and then as its own entity (2021). Gatekeeper for new Members and Volunteers, leading all orientations and work crews, offering logistics and media support for ceremonies and earth connections, and ensuring alignment and implementation of our shared vision and values across the board.

Land Stewards
|
Tracy joined the team in 2018 and has been an instrumental on-site steward, balancing work on the land with the needs of our Members and community. She beautifies the lodge for guests, and offers on-the-ground support for Members and their guests during their stay. Between ceremonies, Tracy guides Volunteers and contractors, tends to the plants and animals of the land, and represents the Sanctuary locally with neighbours and businesses, ensuring peaceful neighbourly relations. Many have started seeing Tracy as a den mother, playing a protective and supportive role for all of us at the Sanctuary.

Gerry is "the healer of things 3D" as he likes to say :) He mends what needs mending and engineers solutions for the structural challenges that emerge, with an uncanny ability to balance the sacred with the practical. Whether it's building the earth healing lodge, hanging the Spirit Canoe, building our home drum base, fixing our fireplace or installing our eco-friendly toilet and outdoor shower...Gerry has been instrumental in ensuring our structures are working smoothly, while supporting Tracy, following directives from Spirit, and embodying the vision and values of the Sanctuary.

Members
The following Members are space holders at the Sanctuary, bringing their communities to the land for personal and collective earth-based healing, ceremony, and prayer. Together with their families, communities, and guests, they are the financial and energetic pillars of our community, and are also the first to pitch in when our land, structures, and seasonal responsibilities need volunteers.
