Booking, Promoting, and Hosting Your Event
If you are interested in hosting your event at the Sanctuary in alignment with our vision and values, you can do so either by becoming a "Member Facilitator", or by being a "Guest Host".
Both follow the same booking process, however Member Facilitators complete a Membership Agreement instead of the Guest Host Agreement below, and Members receive discounts on their booking (see Booking Fees outlined below), as well as other Member benefits. Below is a description of the Booking Procedure, however it would also be advisable for the facilitator to review the Membership options and consider if they would like to be a Member or Guest Host.
If you are applying as a Member, you will need to complete the Membership Application Process separately.

Booking Your Event
1. Event Request: If you are interested in holding an event, email Melanie your suggested event and we can discuss whether it would be a good fit and if we can find you some dates that work for you. We can also discuss the options for Membership vs. hosting as a Guest Host.
2. Contracts and Agreements: Once you decide if you are applying as a Member or a Guest Host, you proceed to choosing the agreement that best suits you. Members complete the "Membership Application Process", and Guest Hosts complete the "Guest Host Agreement". Both can be completed electronically.
3. Deposit: Upon confirmation of your event dates and signing of agreements, an invoice will be sent requesting your $175 deposit (+HST), which can be e-transferred to innerartscollective@gmail.com. This cost will go towards the full cost of your event. 4. Orientation: All Members and hosts must attend an orientation of the Sanctuary, read our Sanctuary Guidebook, and experience the land, kitchen, and fire tending protocols before hosting their own event. |

Promoting Your Event
We have a large network of practitioners and clients, and will promote your event if you request it, broadly to our network through various social media channels. In order to have your information promoted on our website and through our existing channels, we will need to receive your photo, headshot, event description, logo, registration information and media links at least 6 weeks in advance of your event.
Preparing and Aligning Your Guests
Participant Waivers: Ensure your participants sign the Participant Waiver provided here, before participating in your event. It is highly suggested that you, have it onsite for people to sign when they arrive but be sure they've had a chance to read it thoroughly before they arrive.
Values and Vision Alignment: Please make sure your guests are aware of the vision and values of the Rosseau Sanctuary, as well as the protocol for honouring the land. Collaborative Economy: We ask all retreats to hold space for people who cannot afford, and offer flexible payment options at best. We also ask facilitators and guests to contribute to the land, property, and event in some way. Invite your guests to show their support by giving them opportunities / roles to help you during your event. Please consider in advance what this might look like at your event, or how you can weave reciprocity into your program. |
