Located just outside of the town of Rosseau in the Township of Muskoka Lakes, The Rosseau Sanctuary is a hobby farm offering 30 acres of rock, stream, meadow, sky, and forest - far enough from the city to really unplug and replenish; close enough to a beautiful lakeside town to pick up what you may need or jump in the lake for a swim!

OUR MODEL
The Rosseau Sanctuary is more than a farm, as we are committed to facilitating experiences and training programs that foster a deeper connection with self, eachother, and our environment. We are creating a farm for the new era by embracing an ecological model, with community capital, and sustainable community development principles at its core. We are excited to say that we have reached a significant milestone as a community: After years of learning from the land, the seasons, and the wisdom of our community, we were not yet at the point where we could register formally as a farm. We are happy to say that through building our community of Members and volunteers, learning from our experiences, and holding fast to our eco-farming principles, our crop, foraging and farm offerings have demonstrated that we are finally able to register this year as a farm!
