HONOURING THE LAND
We all have a part to play in honouring the environment. Baseline protocols are being developed to clarify how all guests at the Rosseau Sanctuary can unite in this honour, but below are some examples of things you can do when you visit the land.
Asking the Earth Permission
The land is first and foremost asked to give the gift you seek, by offering a gift of tobacco or herbs. When the land responds that you may receive it's gift, proceed with love and gratitude.
_______
_______
Gratitude to the Well
Sacred pristine water is available by tap, pumped directly from our Artesian Well. We ask all who enjoy the healing benefits of this water to visit the well and give thanks to it, and the trees & earth surrounding it, for it's nourishment.
_______
_______
Acknowledging Fire as Sacred
The Heart Fire is located a few feet from our patio, and is located at an energetic centre on the property. Each fire is to be lit with intention and have a fire keeper assigned to watch over it at all times. Garbage is not to be burned in any of the firepits or in the wood burning hearth in home farm. The sacred fire used for the sweat lodge is not to be used for any other purpose other than for sweats, facilitated by our resident sweatlodge facilitator Jodie Cara Lindley. All fire keepers are asked to abide by our local fire regulations.
_______
_______
Creating a Path for the Future
If mobility allows, guests are asked to bring one stone to the labyrinth pathway and/or the pathway to the well at each visit, to give thanks to their journey and support others in their path. Also, if mobility allows, we ask all who walk the trails to work together to keep them clear of fallout.

TOUCHING THE EARTH
We have been working on a number of nature builds offering opportunities for volunteers and work exchange members
to touch the earth and create installations which will provide healing and support for sanctuary guests for years to come. We are seeking individuals skilled in a wide range of earth-based and earth-honouring teachings, and willing to share this knowledge to strengthen the whole of our community.
