...for all landscapes ask the same question in the same whisper. 'I am watching you -- are you watching yourself in me?' ~ Lawrence Durrell, Spirit of Place: Mediterranean Writings
The Eco-Healing Series introduces practitioners to various medicines and healing tools which the earth provides, over the course of a weekend at the Sanctuary. This particular weekend shares how to identify, harvest and prepare medicine found in the forest and meadows of Ontario. In addition, we'll enjoy an evening bonfire, vegetarian meals, and plenty of time for personal practice and earth connection.

Language of Color: A lesson in natural dyes
In this class we will explore vibratory light in the form of natural pigments. Connecting to the land we explore a sense of place & time gathering materials & intentions for the experience. This ancient practice of alchemy is paired with a meditative awareness to ground & receive guidance from the plant beings. Participants leave with a renewed perspective of the language of light & their very own sacred textile creation that is harmonized with the earth.

Wildcrafting Oregano
Oregano is an incredibly medicinal herb. As an antibacterial and antifungal, it's great for the immune system. It’s also excellent for the respiratory system, as a digestive aid, and for skin conditions. In this workshop with land steward Tracy and Melanie, we'll walk through the land to identify wild oregano, learn to harvest it and dry it, and then create our own take-home bottles of Oil of Oregano from wild oregano from the land.
